The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre informs that on Monday, 1 December, indications of a possible data breach were detected in its systems.
Following the initial alert, the Digital Security Authority (DSA) was notified immediately. The Centre also activated its agreement with a specialised cybersecurity firm to conduct a full technical investigation and support the response. The Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection has also been informed.
The investigation is ongoing to establish the exact nature and scope of the incident.
As a precaution, the Centre has reinforced its protective measures while the review is underway.
No patient has been affected in any way.
